What: High School Tennis Season Results in Changes to Pickleball Play
Where: Sevierville City Park
When: Effective Tuesday, February 7, 2023
High School Tennis Will Adjust Pickleball Usage
In a partnership with area high schools, the City of Sevierville Parks and Recreation Department provides tennis court usage at Sevierville City Park for Sevier County High School, Seymour High School and Northview Academy. This use requires the removal of the semi-permanent pickleball nets during the spring high school tennis season.
The pickleball nets will be removed on February 7, 2023 and replaced when the high school tennis season ends in mid-May. Pickleball players may still use the portable nets when the tennis teams are not using the courts. High school tennis practice and match schedules will be posted at the City Park Court Complex.
To remove the pickleball nets from storage, players must get an unlock code by contacting the Parks and Recreation Department at 865-453-5441 during normal operating hours.
The four new, dedicated pickleball courts currently under construction at City Park are scheduled to be completed in April 2023.
