A ribbon cutting ceremony has been scheduled for the completion of the new Children’s Center at the Sevierville Community Center. The ceremony will begin at 4:15 p.m. Monday, April 21, in front of the new Children’s Center, which is located behind the Community Center, 200 Gary Wade Boulevard. Parking is available at the Sevierville Police Department. After parking, follow the sidewalk between the Police Department and Community Center to access the ceremony location.
 
The ceremony will include remarks from Mayor Robbie Fox, and Golf Director (former Parks & Recreation Director) Bob Parker. After the brief ceremony, children from the Sevierville After School Program will participate in a “first first three point shot” contest inside the new multi-purpose gymnasium. A tour of the new Children’s Center and snacks will follow. 
 
Children’s Center additional information:
• Total cost is approximately $2.1 million
• New 7,050 square building
• Multi-use facility, including a half-court gymnasium, activity area, restrooms, office space and kitchen.
• The project architect is Allen & Hoshall and the construction company is Denark Construction.
