What: Parks and Recreation Department Announces New Membership Rates and Online User Software

The City of Sevierville Department of Parks and Recreation announces the implementation of new user-friendly RecDesk software and new membership rates. Both changes will go into effect on July 17, 2023.
The new rates will apply to all new members, and all current members on their renewal date. Two membership tiers are being offered. Gold memberships include access to the Community Center basketball court, fitness center and indoor pool, unlimited aerobics classes and use of the Family Aquatic Center at Sevierville City Park. Silver memberships include access to the Community Center basketball court, fitness center and indoor pool.

The new RecDesk software is more streamlined and user-friendly and includes a web based and mobile version. Users will find it easier to register for classes and sports leagues, reserve facilities, and make online payments.
What: Fall Bowling Leagues Announced
Where: Sevierville Community Center
When: League meetings begin August 7
The Sevierville Department of Parks and Recreation fall bowling leagues are now being formed. Three leagues will be available and bowlers of all abilities are welcome. Competitive and social leagues are being offered. League start dates and fees will be determined at the league meetings.
The Monday night men’s league will have an organizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. on August 7 at the Bowling Center. The 4-person per team league will bowl weekly at 6:30 p.m.
The Tuesday night mixed league will have an organizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. on August 8 at the Bowling Center. The 4-person per team league (any combination of men and women) will bowl weekly at 6:30 p.m.
The Thursday night mixed league will have an organizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. on August 10 at the Bowling Center. The 4-person per team league (any combination of men and women) will bowl weekly at 6:30 p.m.
The Saturday morning youth league will have an organizational meeting at 9:30 a.m. on September 9 at the Bowling Center. The league is open to all ages and will bowl weekly at 9:30 a.m. beginning September 16.

What: Sevierville Adult Men’s Softball League Registration Open
Where: Sevierville, TN
When: Deadline June 30, 2023
Registration is now being accepted for the City of Sevierville Parks and Recreation adult men’s softball league. League fees are $300.00 per team. Registration is for full teams only; individuals may be placed on a free agent list for teams that are looking for players.
Play will begin on July 6. Games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Sevierville City Park. A team captain’s organizational meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on June 28 at the Sevierville Community Center.
Registration packets are available at the front desk at the Sevierville Community Center and on the athletics program page at www.seviervilletn.org. Registration is also available online at https://recreation.seviervilletn.org/CourseActivities.aspx?id=20. The registration deadline is June 30.

What: Closure of Community Center Locker Rooms
Where: Sevierville Community Center
When: Beginning June 5, 2023
Due to the ongoing construction and expansion of the Sevierville Community Center, the locker rooms and shower areas will be closed beginning Monday, June 5. The restrooms/changing rooms located at the temporary building entrance will remain open during the construction period. No shower rooms will be available during this phase of this project.
