The Sevierville Parks and Recreation Department has scheduled a hike on Old Sugarlands Trail. This guided hike is FREE and limited to ten participants. Participants must be at least 18-years old and provide their own transportation to a meeting location. Meeting time and location to be provided after registration.

This moderate, six mile hike offers glimpses into the history of the Sugarlands community, and early development of the park with stops at an old cemetery, a CCC (Civilian Conservation Core) camp, and the rock house. More details about this area can be accessed at:

The registration deadline is Monday, December 9, at 5:00 p.m. After registration is full, a waiting list will be started. Liability release and medical forms are available online and must be returned to the Community Center front desk by December 9 at 5:00 p.m.

When: Beginning Monday, December 2, 2024

Sidewalk repairs will begin at the Sevierville Community Center on Monday, December 2. While repairs are ongoing, one of the two ramps leading to the center from the parking lot will be closed. One ramp will always remain open.

Temporary closure of Community Center gymnasium

When: Beginning Monday, November 18, 2024

The City of Sevierville Parks and Recreation Department announces that the Sevierville Community Center gymnasium will be closed from Monday, November 18-Wednesday, December 4, 2024. The closure is necessary to allow construction to continue on the new Children’s Center.

The gymnasium will reopen for regularly scheduled activities at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 5th. For additional information, please call 865-453-5441.
