Sevierville, Tennessee is the largest City and the County Seat of Sevier County, TN and located approximately 30 miles Southeast of downtown Knoxville and 10 miles from the most visited national park in the country, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  Approximately 20,000 residents call Sevierville home, but millions visit yearly for the many attractions, shopping adventures, and outdoor opportunities the area has to offer.

The City of Sevierville, founded in 1795, is a municipality incorporated in 1901, is a home rule government with a Mayor and Board of Aldermen. The Mayor is elected at-large and serves a 2-year term of office. The appointed City Administrator serves as the administrative head of the City.

As of July 1, 2023, the City of Sevierville employs approximately 349 full time employees and an additional 250 part time employees. The City provides the following services to residents and visitors: Police, Fire, Parks, Public Works, Roads, Engineering, Building Codes, Planning, Human Resources, Economic Development, Convention Center, and Golf Course.
