The Sevierville Police Department (SPD) investigates many car break-ins and thefts each year. Often these crimes of opportunity could have been prevented by sound security practices. Besides the loss of personal property, victims may also have to contend with costly damages to their vehicle. In some rare instances, purse snatchings and vehicle break-ins have also led to home burglaries.
Some residences located on Foxwood Drive and Glenda Lane may experience water outages tomorrow, 11/17, from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. due to water valve replacement in the area. A traffic advisory is being issued for a temporary road closure on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. Gay Street will be closed to through traffic at Murphy Road from 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The closure is necessary for sewer line work. Detour roads include South Boulevard, Connely Street, Oak Street and Alexanderia Street.

The following schedules will be in effect for City of Sevierville facilities and services during the upcoming Thanksgiving holidays:
A section of Court Avenue in front of the Sevier County Courthouse will be temporarily closed on Friday, November 10 to facilitate a Veterans Day event being conducted by Sevier County Veterans Services. Court Avenue, between Commerce Street and Bruce Street, will be closed to all traffic from approximately 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year old Jennifer Paige Blanchard Tuesday evening, October 31, 2023 in Seymour, TN. Blanchard has been charged with statutory rape by an authority figure following an investigation by the Sevierville Police Department.
A temporary lane closure on portions of the Parkway and Collier Drive will take place on Saturday, November 4 to facilitate a 5k road race special event.
