Road Work: Boyds Creek Highway (SR-338) to Douglas Dam Road (SR-139)

Motorists should expect alternating northbound lane closures on SR-66 from about Knifeworks Lane to the north end of the bridge Monday (5/18) through Wednesday (5/20) between 9am and 3pm for crews to remove and relocate the portable concrete barriers.

Crews continue working on the bridges.  Presently they are adjusting the hangers for the utilities under the bridge (pictured below).  Installation of the 72” concrete storm drain along the southbound lanes continues, as well. In the coming weeks, crews are preparing to pave sections of the new outside lanes.

Short duration traffic stops should be expected daily throughout the project as crews move equipment and materials in and out of the work zone.  If you have any questions regarding the project, please call us at 865.429.4509.  As always, please use extreme caution and reduce speed  through the work zone.
