Sevierville Parks and Recreation plans next Smoky Mountains hike on Tuesday, June 21

The Sevierville Parks and Recreation Department has scheduled a hike to Gregory Bald via Gregory Ridge Trail on Tuesday, June 21. This STRENUOUS, guided hike is FREE and limited to ten participants. Participants must be at least 18-years old and provide their own transportation to a meeting location. Meeting time and location will be provided after registration.

This is a strenuous 11.5 mile hike, with an elevation change of over 3000 feet, most of which occurs in the last three miles of the ascent. It is also a rewarding hike, since the bald features panoramic views including Cades Cove and Fontana Lake, and during mid to late June, the stunning blooms of Flame Azalea bushes.

The registration deadline is Saturday, June 21. After registration is full, a waiting list will be started. Liability release and medical forms must be completed online when registering, or by doing so at the front desk of the Community Center.
