Sevierville participates in DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day Saturday, April 26, 2025 10am-2pm

On Saturday, April 26 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., the Sevierville Police Department will hold a Drug Take Back event at Walmart Neighborhood Market, 1185 Dolly Parton Parkway, as part of the DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
In addition to dropping-off drugs at this event, citizens may drop-off drugs at the SPD Drug Take Back receptacle any time or day of the week. The service is free and anonymous.
Unneeded prescription medication–those that are old, unwanted, or no longer needed – are a public safety issue, too often becoming a gateway to addiction. The majority of opioid addictions start with prescription pills found in medicine cabinets at home.
PLEASE NOTE-NO SYRINGES ACCEPTED!
Pharmaceutical drugs can be just as dangerous as street drugs when taken without a prescription or a doctor’s supervision. A majority of people who misuse a prescription medication obtain the medicine from a family member or friend.
