TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Intermittent lane closures this week for street maintenance

Posted 10-07-24.

The City of Sevierville is issuing a traffic advisory for several streets this week that will have intermittent lane closures for maintenance.

A contractor working for the City will be applying a material to the following streets to enhance the longevity of the asphalt surface. The work will be conducted Wednesday, October 9-Thursday, October 10, between 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. daily. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic, however delays should be expected.
• Robin Wing Court
• Longspur Trail
• Warbler Point
• Pleasant Ridge Road
• Country Meadows Drive
• Mayberry Lane
• Rivergate Drive
• Upper Ridge Court
• Rivergate Ridge Court
• Meadow Ridge Circle
• Middle Court
• South Ridge Court
• North Ridge Court

The contractor will be placing flyers at the homes of residents that live on these streets that explains the process. A material named reclamite is applied to the asphalt with large sprayers and penetrates the surface. The process prolongs the serviceable life of the asphalt, reducing overall maintenance costs. After reclamite is applied to the asphalt, a fine, aggregate sand is applied to the surface. Vehicles can safely drive on the street after the sand is applied.
