TRAFFIC ADVISORY: lane closure on Highway 416/Old Newport Highway

The City of Sevierville is issuing a traffic advisory for a section of Highway 416/Old Newport Highway beginning Monday, August 19. See map below for lane closure location.

Contractors will be installing a 12” sewer main that will require a lane closure at the bridge located between Ernest McMahan Road and Jim Hickman Drive (entrance to Walters State Community College).

The daily lane closure will be from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., until at least September 6, 2024. Traffic will be maintained, however motorists should expect delays and consider alternate routes. Motorists should use caution and be alert for traffic pattern changes, workers, and equipment.
