SR 416 (Pittman center Road) is a heavily traveled roadway within the City of Sevierville. This segment of Pittman Center Road provides access to several residential neighborhoods, Walters State Community College, the Sevier County ETSU campus, an industrial park, churches, and several small businesses. As the surrounding community has grown, traffic congestion has increased and impacted safety.

The intent of this study is to examine the existing conditions along the corridor to identify improvements that could be made to mitigate congestion, improve roadway resiliency, make safety improvements, and improve pedestrian accessibility. As development continues to occur, the city aims to proactively provide improvements to meet future traffic demands and ensure safety for all users.
