Lifeguard Certification Course Scheduled

The City of Sevierville Parks and Recreation Department has scheduled a lifeguard certification class at the Sevierville Community Center on the following dates and times. Registration is now open.

• February 22: 5:15 p.m. (Pre-Course Water Skills Test)
• March 5, 6, 12, 13: 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (must attend all classes)

Participants must be at least 15 years old, place in top 10 of the pre-class skills test, and register before attending classes.

The course fee is $120.00 and is due on the first day of class. Participants that successfully complete course and are then hired by the Sevierville Parks and Recreation Department as a lifeguard and are able to work 20 hours a week will be reimbursed the course fee.
