FACIAL COVERING MANDATE EXTENDED Until 2-27-21

Sevier County Mayor Larry Waters issued Executive Order 55 today, extending the local mask mandate until February 27, 2021.

December 7 BMA Workshop and Meeting to Be Available Online Only; December 21 BMA Meeting Cancelled

The City of Sevierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen workshop and meeting scheduled for Monday, December 7, 2020 will be available online only due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Several BMA meetings were previously held virtually over the summer when active COVID-19 cases had significantly increased. Information on how to access the online workshop and meeting will be provided prior to December 7.

Additionally, the December 21, 2020 BMA meeting has been cancelled since it is near the Christmas holiday season.

Sevier County Facial Covering Mandate Extended Through December 29

Sevier County Mayor Larry Waters has extended the mask mandate for Sevier County through December 29, 2020. The mandate intends to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, reduce hospitalizations due to the coronavirus, and to protect the health of the residents, employees, and visitors of Sevier County. The executive order is at www.seviercountytn.org.

-Practice social distancing, and
-Wash or sanitize your hands frequently.

Sevier County Facial Covering Mandate Extended

After consultation with city and county leaders, health officials, local businesses, and tourism officials, Sevier County Mayor Larry Waters has extended the mask mandate for Sevier County through November 30, pending the governor’s extension via executive order. The mandate intends to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, reduce hospitalizations due to the coronavirus, and to protect the health of the residents, employees, and visitors of Sevier County. The executive order is at www.seviercountytn.org.

“The COVID-19 pandemic continues to be a major concern in our city and county, as well as in Tennessee and our nation,” said Sevierville Mayor Robbie Fox. “It is important that we all continue to follow the best preventive practices to battle this pandemic, including wearing facial coverings indoors in public settings, staying at least six feet apart, and washing or sanitizing our hands frequently.”
