Temporary Closure of Section of Snyder Road

UPDATE: The bridge work at Tuckahoe Creek has been completed and Snyder Road has been reopened to all traffic.

The City of Sevierville announces the temporary closure of a section of Snyder Road beginning at approximately 9:00AM Monday, May 11, 2015.

Snyder Road will be closed to all through traffic at the Tuckahoe Creek Bridge on Snyder Road for bridge improvement work. Barricades will be in place on Snyder Road at Hardin Road and Lenz Drive. Local residents will be allowed access to their homes beyond these barricades; however, absolutely no traffic will be permitted to cross Tuckahoe Creek until the work is completed.

Detour signs will be in place directing motorists onto Hardin Road and Douglas Dam Road.

Weather and other conditions permitting, the work is scheduled to be completed by 5:00PM Friday, May 15, 2015.
