Any person(s) wishing to sell, store for sale, distribute for sale, or manufacture beer within the city must file an pdf application (1.18 MB) and obtain a permit from the Beer Board prior to selling, storing, distributing, or manufacturing beer.
Beer Board meetings are scheduled as needed; generally called on the second Tuesday of the month.
The three board members are appointed by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen:
- Alderman Travis McCroskey
- Ex-Officio Emily Burchfiel Kile
- Chairman John Huff
Due to processing and public notice requirements, pdf beer permit applications (1.18 MB) must be received by the third Friday of the month for consideration during the following month. Beer Board meetings are generally called on the second Tuesday of the month.

Active permit holders are subject to an annual $100 privilege tax, prorated for the first year and payable in January of each subsequent year.
