A traffic advisory is being issued for the Interstate 40/exit 407 area on September 28 from 4:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.-11:00 p.m. The advisory includes Interstate 40, Highway 66, East Dumplin Valley Road, Snyder Road and nearby roads. A concert is scheduled at Smokies Stadium which will result in a significant increase in traffic.

For the safety of motorists traveling on Snyder Road in the area of Hardin Lane, Public Works employees are utilizing a temporary automated traffic signal device while this project continues. The signal will also be used during the overnight hours. Please see additional project details below.

The Sevierville Police Department is hosting their fourth annual National Night Out event on Tuesday, October 3 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. outdoors at the Sevierville Municipal Complex (120 Gary Wade Boulevard). We will be joined by many of our local partners, including the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Sevierville Fire Department, and many more. In an effort to improve the driving abilities and overall safety of younger drivers, the Sevierville Police Department (SPD) has scheduled a FREE Collision Avoidance Training (CAT) class on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 7:45 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Students will meet at the Sevierville Police Department and then continue the class at the Sevierville Convention Center.
