The temporary closure of the Collier Drive bridge located on the east end near Veterans Boulevard will be extended to 3:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon, Friday, October 8, 2021. The extension is needed to complete work that requires a complete closure to traffic.
The Sevierville Police Department is hosting a National Night Out event on Tuesday, October 5 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. outdoors at the Sevierville Municipal Complex (Dolly Parton Parkway at Bruce Street). We will be joined by many of our local partners, including the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office, Pigeon Forge Police Department, Sevierville Fire Department, Sevier County Ambulance Service, Central E-911, Sevier County Emergency Management Agency, Tennessee Highway Patrol and helicopter, East Tennessee Children’s Hospital and their Children’s Hot Car, and many more. Over 50 agencies, businesses and non-profit organizations will be attending!!
Beginning at 7:00 a.m. Monday, October 4, the bridge on the east end of Collier Drive near Veterans Boulevard will be temporarily closed to all traffic. Repairs to the bridge have been ongoing with lane closures; a temporary closure to all traffic is needed as work continues. Barricades will be in place on Collier Drive at the intersections with Ridge Road and Veterans Boulevard.
Weather and other conditions permitting, the bridge will reopen by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2021.
The City of Sevierville announces the temporary closure of Bruce Street, between the Parkway and Court Avenue, to all traffic for the annual Sevier County Relay for Life special event on October 9. The event was originally scheduled for July 28 but was cancelled due to inclement weather. The closure will take place from 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 9-12:00 a.m. Sunday, October 10.
A traffic advisory is being issued for a daytime lane closure on Old Knoxville Highway, between Pheasant Ridge Road and Swans Ferry Road. The lane closure is necessary to allow for bridge repair work.
