Sevierville Participates in DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day 2023

On Saturday, April 22 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., the Sevierville Police Department, along with the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office, Pigeon Forge Police Department, and Gatlinburg Police Department, will hold a Drug Take Back event as part of the DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. The SPD event will be at the Walmart Neighborhood Market, 1185 Dolly Parton Parkway (see flyer for additional local event locations).

Investigation Culminates With Seven Narcotics Related Arrests

Elements of the Sevier County Street Crimes Unit, Sevierville Police Department and Sevier County Sheriff’s Office arrested seven persons on March 31, 2023 following a narcotics investigation that began in Summer 2022.

At approximately 7:15 a.m., law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at 910 Murphy Road in Sevierville. The seven individuals found in the home were arrested (see charges below). Various amounts of heroin, marijuana, gabapentin and drug paraphernalia were seized.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Rivergate Drive Repairs Scheduled for April 12-20

Contractors working on behalf of the City of Sevierville will be performing reconstruction and repaving work on Rivergate Drive beginning April 12, 2023. The work will take place Mon-Fri between 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Weather and other conditions permitting, the project should be completed by April 20.

SPD Promotes “Slow Down Tennessee” To Reduce Speeding-Related Crashes

The Sevierville Police Department is partnering with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) to promote “Slow Down Tennessee.” From April 14-28, SPD will increase education, awareness, and enforcement efforts to help reduce speeding-related crashes, injuries, and fatalities statewide.
