Sevierville Police Department Receives Reaccreditation

The City of Sevierville Police Department (SPD) was recently reaccredited by the Tennessee Law Enforcement Accreditation program (TLEA). The TLEA program is administered by the Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police (TACP). SPD was initially accredited by TLEA in 2010, and is one of only a handful of Tennessee law enforcement departments to receive their fifth accreditation award.

John Tipton, Missing Since January, Found Deceased

We are deeply saddened to report that 19-year old John Tipton, missing since January 15, 2023, was found deceased this morning in Knoxville. We extend our sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers to John's family and friends.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lane Closures on Collier Drive for Bridge Repair and Maintenance

The City of Sevierville is issuing a traffic advisory for the section of Collier Drive between Ridge Road and Veterans Boulevard. Repair and maintenance work is scheduled to take place on the bridge spanning Middle Creek beginning Monday, March 6. Weather and other conditions permitting, the work will be completed by the end of the day on Friday, March 10.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Temporary Short-Term Closures of Highway 66 Planned for New Traffic Signal Placement

The City of Sevierville is issuing a traffic advisory for two short-term closures of Highway 66 (Winfield Dunn Parkway) in north Sevierville next week. The closures will occur on Highway 66 at the intersection with the future Gateway Boulevard, which will become the main entrance/exit for “The 407: Gateway to Adventure” development currently under construction.
