BURN BAN issued for Sevierville and the cities of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Pittman Center, and Sevier County until further notice

Due to current dry conditions, exceptionally low relative humidity and a very high fire danger, Sevier County and the cities of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Town of Pittman Center, and Sevierville have issued a burn ban until further notice. These conditions have created circumstances where open burning is too hazardous.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Water line work on Park Road beginning Tuesday, February 25, 2025

The Sevierville Water and Sewer Department will be installing a new water line as part of the planned City Park renovations, beginning Tuesday, February 25. The work will require the closure of the southbound travel lane on Park Road between West Paine Street and City Park, from 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. Traffic in both directions will be maintained, however motorists should expect short term delays.

Crews begin road treatment due to wintry weather

Public Works Department crews will be applying salt to priority 1 and 2 routes this afternoon in Sevierville. Temperatures are expected to drop as low as ten degrees this evening, which may result in icy and slick road conditions. Crews will be on standby overnight and treat City roads as needed. Overnight travel is discouraged and should be avoided.

Narcotics and theft investigation nets multiple arrests

As a result of an ongoing narcotics and theft investigation, members of the Sevierville Police Department SWAT team, with assistance from the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Response Team, executed a search warrant at approximately 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 15, at 2208 Island Boulevard.
