TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Temporary Road Closure for Veterans Day Event 11/11/21

A section of Court Avenue in front of the Sevier County Courthouse will be temporarily closed on Thursday, November 11 to facilitate a Veterans Day event being conducted by Sevier County Veterans Services. Court Avenue, between Commerce Street and Bruce Street, will be closed to all traffic from approximately 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Two Teen Girls from Sevierville Located in Clarksville

The Sevierville Police Department has been informed that two teenaged girls from Sevierville were located today in Clarksville, TN. The girls had run away from a local children’s home in Sevierville last week and traveled to Nashville. While there, they became involved in an alleged sex trafficking operation. SPD does not release the identities of juvenile victims.

SPD would like to thank the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Metro Nashville Police Department, and Clarksville Police Department for their diligence and perseverance in locating the girls and removing them from harm’s way. SPD also thanks the Federal Bureau of Investigation for their assistance with contacting the various law enforcement agencies involved.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Temporary closure of bridge on east end of Collier Drive extended

The temporary closure of the Collier Drive bridge located on the east end near Veterans Boulevard will be extended to 3:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon, Friday, October 8, 2021. The extension is needed to complete work that requires a complete closure to traffic.

National Night Out Comes to Sevierville on October 5

The Sevierville Police Department is hosting a National Night Out event on Tuesday, October 5 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. outdoors at the Sevierville Municipal Complex (Dolly Parton Parkway at Bruce Street). We will be joined by many of our local partners, including the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office, Pigeon Forge Police Department, Sevierville Fire Department, Sevier County Ambulance Service, Central E-911, Sevier County Emergency Management Agency, Tennessee Highway Patrol and helicopter, East Tennessee Children’s Hospital and their Children’s Hot Car, and many more. Over 50 agencies, businesses and non-profit organizations will be attending!!
