New Inclusive Playground Improvements Continue

City of Sevierville Parks and Recreation staff are continuing to make improvements to the recently opened Mt. Ton of Fun Inclusive Playground at City Park.

The first two weeks since the grand opening have seen heavy use, says Parks and Recreation Director Bob Parker. "We are extremely encouraged by the number of children and adults who are using the new playground," Parker said. "And we have received some great feedback, including requests to add shade to the bench areas."

In response, staff are constructing six overhead structures to provide shade on the benches (see attached photos). Parker also noted that security equipment, including cameras and an alarm system, have been installed (see attached sign posted at playground).
