Sevierville's PetSafe Unleashed Dog Park

Progress Report - February 10, 2017

With ground moving, Team Dog Park is very excited to provide this project update for Sevierville’s PetSafe Unleashed Dog Park Project. On February 6th Bob Parker, Director of Parks and Recreation, presented necessary recommended changes to the current ordinances which will allow the dog park to be fully operational. The Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved the presented changes.

In addition, the official Opening/Ribbon Cutting has been scheduled for Saturday, May 13th at 10:00 am. Local officials, corporate officials as well as staff members from the City of Sevierville and PetSafe Corporation will be on hand for this exciting day. Concept Plan Released - October 10, 2016

Team Dog Park, a group of City Employees formed to develop the City’s new PetSafe Unleashed Dog Park, has released the draft concept of the new Dog Park that will be built adjacent to City Park on Park Road. The City has received a $100,000 dollar gift from the PetSafe Corporation through the Legacy Park Foundation in order to build this new facility. This concept plan will be presented to various Committees, Planning Commission and to the Mayor and Board of Alderman over the next 60 days. Construction is scheduled to start in January with a Spring 2017 opening.
