What is a Greenway?

A Greenway is a corridor of undeveloped land, along a river or between urban centers that is reserved for recreational use or environmental preservation. Greenways connect people to the places they live, work and play! There are many benefits of trails and greenways: they make our communities more livable; improve the economy through tourism and civic improvement; preserve open space; and provide a place for physical activity that will improve fitness and mental health.
