City plans repaving on several roads beginning August 11

Contractors working for the City of Sevierville will be repaving several roads beginning Sunday evening, August 11. To keep delays as short as possible, the work will be performed between 6:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. each day.

Weather and other conditions permitting, the following schedules will be in place.

• Old Knoxville Highway: 6:00 p.m. Sunday, August 11-6:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 13. Work will be performed between 6:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.
• North River Boulevard: 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 13-6:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 14.
• Cate Road, Red Bank Road and Maples Branch Road schedules will be released early next week.

Traffic will be maintained while work is in progress, with single lane closures. Motorists should expect delays and consider alternate routes. All lanes will reopen when work is not ongoing. Motorists should use caution in the work zones, be prepared for traffic pattern changes and watch for workers and heavy equipment.
