SPD Officers Graduate from Academy; Award Received for Courage and Determination

Three City of Sevierville Police Department officers graduated from the Walters State Regional Law Enforcement Training Academy yesterday, December 7, 2023.
Officers Houston Brooks, Alberto Suarez III, and Brent Lee successfully completed the nine week, 500 hour academy at Morristown, TN. Officer Brent Lee received the Charles Edward Baskette Award for courage and determination during the academy.
“I’m proud of these officers and look forward to their service to our community,” said SPD Chief Joseph Manning. “Officer Lee’s determination and dedication during his nine weeks in the academy was exceptional and sets a high bar for future SPD officers who may attend the academy.”
