TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Roadwork Planned in Birchwood Subdivision

A traffic advisory is being issued for Birchwood subdivision for Tuesday, October 3-Wednesday, October 4, 2023. Contractors working for the Public Works Department will be conducting a pavement preservation project that will require temporary lane closures and delays on the following streets:

Georgian Lane,
Beechview Drive,
Walden Court,
Birchwood Lane,
Holly Court,
Woodland Drive,
Poplar Court,
Cedar Terrace, and
Hemlock Court.

On street parking will be prohibited on the above streets from 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. October 3-4.

City contractors will be applying an emulsion to the streets that will penetrate and extend the life of the pavement. This will be a mobile operation in the neighborhood that will temporarily close lanes for about 40 minutes at a time. Contractor staff will be onsite to ensure that residents have access to their homes, however short delays may occur at times. Flyers will be passed out in the neighborhood the day before work begins to inform residents of the process.

The expected work hours are 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. daily. This project is dependent upon favorable weather conditions.
