Emergency Response Training Exercise Planned in Sevierville

The City of Sevierville Fire Department will be participating in a planned emergency response training exercise on Thursday, July 27, 2023. The exercise will take place in the area of Industrial Drive from approximately 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

In conjunction with the Sevier County Local Emergency Planning Committee, several area agencies will take part in the exercise, including the Sevierville Fire Department, Sevierville Police Department, Sevier County Emergency Management Agency, Pigeon Forge Fire Department, and Gatlinburg Fire Department.

Numerous emergency response vehicles and personnel will be present. Message boards will be positioned to inform the public of the exercise.

A media observation area will be available at the exercise. Reporters should assemble between 5:30 p.m.-5:45 p.m. next to the Sevier County Volunteer Fire Department station, 149 Industrial Drive, in the gravel parking area on the right. Reporters will be escorted on foot to the observation area.

Interviews of officials will be available at 4:45 p.m. at the Sevier County Volunteer Fire Department station. Please park in the gravel parking area on the right.
