2020 Cram a Cruiser Event Scheduled to Help Sevier County Schoolchildren and Teachers

Posted 07-28-20.

The Sevierville Police Department and Sevier County Sheriff’s Office are partnering again this year to collect school supplies to help Sevier County school children and teachers.

SCSO deputies and SPD officers will be at Wal Mart, 1414 Parkway, from 12 p.m.-4 p.m. on Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1.

Lat year, almost two cruisers were filled with school supplies that were used by Sevier County School System teachers in their classrooms. In addition, over $1,000.00 in monetary donations were received that went towards the purchase of even more supplies.

“We’re hoping to help our schoolchildren and teachers even more this year,” said SPD Lieutenant Rebecca Cowan. “Please stop by when you see SPD and SCSO cruisers at Wal Mart and help by donating school supplies.”
