TRAFFIC ADVISORY: TDOT Schedules Resurfacing on Dolly Parton Parkway During Overnight Hours

The Tennessee Department of Transportation has announced road work on Dolly Parton Parkway (SR 35/US 411) beginning Tuesday, June 6. Motorists should expect delays during heavy traffic periods and be alert for changing traffic patterns.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Striping on Highway 66 in Area of Gateway Boulevard

Final striping is planned on Highway 66/Winfield Dunn Parkway in the area of the new Gateway Boulevard tonight, May 30 through Thursday morning June 1. The work will take place from 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. each evening/morning. This work is dependent on favorable weather conditions.

Traffic Advisory: Temporary Closure of Several Downtown Streets for Special Event May 28

The City of Sevierville announces the temporary closure of several downtown streets on Sunday, May 28 between 7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. The closures are necessary to facilitate the Smoky Mountain Thunder Memorial Motorcycle Ride.

Traffic Advisory: Temporary Road Closure for Memorial Day Event

A section of Court Avenue in front of the Sevier County Courthouse will be temporarily closed to all traffic on Monday, May 29 to facilitate a Memorial Day event being conducted by Sevier County government.
Court Avenue, between Commerce Street and Bruce Street, will be closed from approximately 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Police Urge Parents and Pet Owners to be Cognizant of Dangers of Hot Vehicle Interiors

The Sevierville Police Department (SPD) is urging parents and pet owners to be cognizant of the potential danger of leaving their children or pets in vehicles during warm weather. Just a few minutes inside a car during the summer can become deadly. When the outside air temperature is just 85 degrees, vehicle interior temperatures can reach over 100 degrees in only ten minutes or less.
