Helpful Hints for Dealing with Bears & Other Wildlife

• Bag all trash and place it in the container provided by The City of Sevierville.
• Store the container inside a garage or other secure area.
• Do not place the container curbside prior to 6:00 a.m. the day of pick up, and remove the container from the curbside as soon as possible after the container is emptied.
• Container locks, straps, and bungee cords are available for purchase through Amazon and other vendors. They range in cost but can be purchased for as little as $20.00.
• All locks, straps, and cords must be removed by the homeowner prior to 6:00 a.m. on day of pick up.
• Keep the surroundings clean and free of debris.
• Keep the trash container clean. Frequently clean it with ammonia or bleach solutions. Avoid using anything with a fruity or lemony scent. Never mix bleach and ammonia!
