Fleet Maintenance

The Fleet Maintenance Division of the Public Works Department provides a full line of service and repairs for all the City’s vehicles and fuel-powered equipment. Services include oil changes, transmission service, tire replacement/repair, tire rotation and balance, tune-ups, state inspections, major/minor engine repairs, and coordinating all vehicle towing. Services also include computer diagnosis, approved warranty repairs, custom emergency, and warning light installations, and welding & metal fabrications. We also maintain the heavy truck fleet utilized in garbage collection, fire trucks, street, and water and sewer line construction and maintenance. These services include hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and welding repairs.

We also maintain an inventory of automotive, light trucks, equipment-on and off-road, heavy truck parts, tires, fluids (oil, lube, car, and truck wash) in the Fleet’s Parts Area. We maintain a Fuel Farm which includes (Gasoline, B-20 BioDiesel, and Propane). City vehicle and equipment auctions are coordinated through the Fleet Division for on-line auctions.
