Youth Basketball Clinics Registration Open

The City of Sevierville Department of Parks and Recreation is accepting registration for upcoming youth basketball clinics, open to boys and girls in grades 3-5 and grades 6-up.

There will be a new clinic each month focusing on different skills each time. The first clinic will focus on shooting mechanics, shot selection, moving without the ball and more. The second clinic will cover all aspects of ballhandling and the third clinic will teach everything to do with layups, proper form, getting into the lane and finishing at the goal. Each clinic will run the first four Wednesdays of each month at the Sevierville Community Center, beginning March 2 and continuing through the summer months.

The cost of each clinic is $50.00 per participant and includes four clinic sessions.  Each age group is limited to ten participants.  Registration is now available for the first three clinics; March will be shooting, April ballhandling, and May layups.

March clinic dates are March 2, 9, 16 and 23. April clinic dates are April 6, 13, 20 and 27. May clinic dates are May 4, 11, 18, and 25. Each clinic will be held from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. for grades 3-5 and 7:15 p.m.-8:15 p.m. for grades 6-up.
