Salary: $12.50 per hour/experience considered (limited to 1500 hours)
March-October/ Nights and Weekends Required
The City of Sevierville’s Parks and Recreation is now accepting applications and/or resumes for one part-time time position of Recreation Coordinator. The position is responsible: staff supervision, facilities and/or programs of responsibility, training, customer service, related paperwork, and reporting.
PRIMARY DUTIES: Supervises staff, plans and organizes both maintenance and recreation activities for area of responsibility. Provides assistance and support to staff as required for the completion of tasks/projects. Interacts with the general public to provide information regarding the area of responsibility, and/or to discuss and resolve issues or complaints, interacts with other city departments to provide assistance as needed. Manages and assists with maintenance of equipment, facilities, and/or grounds of responsibility, ensuring a safe environment for both staff and patrons. Maintains records systems, processes daily reports and deposits including but not limited to reports, memos, requisitions, and personnel information.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a high school diploma or GED. Requires light work involved standing or walking some of the time, exerting up to 50 pounds of force on a regular basis.
