Maintenance Worker II- Part-time $14.62 hourly

SALARY:       $14.62 per hour

OPENING DATE: 1/28/2022                                      CLOSING DATE: Open until filled

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The essential function of the position includes but are not limited to: Cleans inside and/or outside of City buildings, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, vacuuming, and shampooing carpets, cleaning surfaces and baseboards, polishing glass, furniture, and woodwork, and emptying and cleaning garbage receptacles. Cleans and disinfects restrooms and fixtures; replenishes paper towels, toilet paper, and soap; unclogs toilets and replaces burned-out light bulbs as needed. Performs maintenance and minor repairs on facilities, such as repairs and assembling furniture, reports repair needs outside the scope of position to supervisor. Maintains equipment of responsibility; assists with maintenance of inventory of supplies.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma, GED, or specialized vocational training.  
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen upon date of hire. 
  • Requires light to medium work involving standing or walking most of the time, exerting up to 20 pounds of force on a regular basis.
