Dog Park Large Dog Section to Close for Repairs; Planned Improvements Delayed

The City of Sevierville Department of Parks and Recreation announces that the large dog area of Sevierville’s Unleashed Dog Park, located at City Park, will be closed on Thursday and Friday November 29 and 30. The closure is necessary to allow workers to safely remove a large tree. Weather and other conditions permitting, the work will be completed on November 30. If the closure needs to continue after November 30, the estimated reopening date will be posted on the Sevierville Parks and Recreation Facebook page and website.

The Department is also announcing that proposed improvements and changes, including a new area for shy dogs and a covered shelter in the shy/large dog areas will be delayed to allow City staff to further consider ADA requirements and guidelines. Revised estimated dates for improvements will be released when available.
