TRAFFIC ADVISORY UPDATE: Work Scheduled on Area Roads 6-2019

Due to wet weather, the Sevierville Public Works Department has rescheduled resurfacing work on portions of two area roads. The work will involve applying high friction surface treatment to curves and other road sections to increase pavement friction during both dry and wet conditions. The higher pavement friction helps motorists maintain better control and thus improves driver safety.

 

Work is scheduled from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Old Knoxville Highway Friday, June 21and Monday, June 24, and on Ernest McMahan Road Tuesday, June 25 and Wednesday, June 26.

Traffic will be maintained however motorists should expect delays, especially during high traffic periods, and consider alternate routes. Completion of work as scheduled is dependent upon weather and other conditions.
