New Four-Way Stop Sign Installation Scheduled

The City of Sevierville Department of Public Works has scheduled the installation of a four-way stop at the intersection of Middle Creek Road and Blanton Drive/Millwood Drive. This intersection currently has stop signs on the two side street approaches, but after work is completed all four approaches will be required to stop before proceeding through the intersection. The work is scheduled to begin Monday morning, June 13, 2016. Weather and other conditions permitting, the 4-way stop installation will be completed by 12PM the same day.

Once installed, motorists must begin obeying the new four-way stop signs. Warning signs will also be installed to provide advance notice to drivers before they reach the intersection.

The purpose of the new four-way stop is to better control traffic and reduce traffic crashes at the intersection.
