TRAFFIC ALERT: Lane Closure Downtown for Replacement of Light Poles

The Sevier County Electric System has planned light pole replacement on the Parkway beginning Monday, June 13, 2106. The work will necessitate the closure of the right northbound travel lane between Prince Street and Bruce Street.

This is a scheduled replacement of old light poles. The new poles will have improved technology and capacity.

The lane will be closed 7AM-5PM Monday-Thursday and be reopened Friday-Sunday. Weather and other conditions permitting, the work will be completed in three-four weeks.

Motorists should expect occasional short term delays during heavy traffic periods when work is ongoing.
