The annual City of Sevierville Arbor Day and Tree City USA celebrations are scheduled for Thursday, April 25. The event will begin at 3:30 p.m. at the John Sevier Grove (behind the Sevierville Civic Center, 200 Gary Wade Boulevard).

The Sevierville Fire Department is offering several CPR/AED and Stop the Bleed classes in 2024 at the Headquarters, Station 1, 1162 Dolly Parton Parkway. In these classroom-based courses, participants will learn to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR to victims of all ages, use an AED, and how they can control severe bleeding to possibly save themselves and others.

A traffic advisory is being issued for the closure of Bruce Street between Court Avenue and Parkway on Saturday, April 27, 2024. This section of Bruce Street will be closed to all traffic from 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. The city gazebo and public parking area on Bruce Street will also be closed during this time. The purpose of the closure is to facilitate a festival celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Classic Cookie company.

Creek Avenue, located between Main Street and Bruce Street, will be closed to thru traffic beginning at 8:00 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2024. Weather and other conditions permitting, the road is expected to be reopened Wednesday, April 24, 2024. The closure is necessary to complete storm drain maintenance.

The annual Sevierville Police Department Kids Police Camp has been scheduled for Monday, June 3 - Friday, June 7. The camp will take place daily from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. A mandatory parent/participant orientation will be held at the Sevierville Police Department at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31.

As the opening of the new fitness center and renovated lobby approach, the Sevierville Community Center will be temporarily closed Thursday, April 18-Saturday, April 20, to make final preparations. The entire community center and new 8,500 square foot fitness center and renovated lobby will open at 6:00 a.m. Monday, April 22. We would like to thank everyone for their patience during this process.

The Sevierville Parks and Recreation Department has scheduled a Spring hike of Cucumber Gap Loop/Avent Cabin on Thursday, April 18. The guided hike Is FREE and limited to ten participants. Participants must be at least 18-years old and provide their own transportation to a meeting place to be determined.
