A group of six Eastern European police chaplains and staff are scheduled to meet with local law enforcement agencies on Tuesday, April 2. The group consists of the National Chief of the Patrol Police of the Republic of Moldova, Deputy Chief of the Patrol Police of Moldova, Chief of the Presidential Escort, Police Chaplain from Moldova, and Chief Chaplain of the Chaplain Patrol organization in Ukraine. A Chaplain from Forsyth County Sheriff’s Department will also be attending as a translator.

In an effort to improve the driving abilities and overall safety of younger drivers, the Sevierville Police Department (SPD) has scheduled a FREE Collision Avoidance Training (CAT) class on Sunday, May 26, 2024, from 7:45 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Students will meet at the Sevierville Police Department and then continue the class at the Sevierville Convention Center.

The Sevierville Police Department is issuing a traffic advisory for the area near the Sevierville Convention Center, including Highway 66 (Winfield Dunn Parkway), Old Knoxville Highway, and Gists Creek Road. The advisory will be in effect Friday, March 22-Saturday, March 23, 2024.
