Section I - Entrance Fee and Player Regulations

  1. League entrance fees for teams are $200.00 and must be turned in to the Department of Parks and Recreation by August 18, 2015 along with the teams registration form.
  2. A team may carry a total of 20 players on the roster.
  3. All rosters must be turned into the Department of Parks and Recreation by September 8, 2015.
  4. A player transferring teams must have his release in the Recreation Supervisor’s office from the team, which he or she is transferring, 24 hours before he or she can play in a game. A player may only transfer once during the season. Deadline to transfer is September 8, 2015.
  5. No player may play on two teams, but in case he or she signs with 2 teams he/she will have to be released by one of the teams before he or she will be eligible to play. Any player found playing with 2 teams will be suspended for the remainder of the season.
  6. No player may be signed to any team after September 8, 2015, unless the player has moved into Sevier County and desires to play softball or has clearance from Recreation Supervisor.
  7. A team must have shirts alike, or league uniforms.
  8. Players are not permitted to wear metal spiked shoes or football steal cleats. If caught doing so the player will be ejected from the game and suspended for 1 more game.
  9. Minimum age: 16 years of age and older (If under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian signature).
  10. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED IN CITY PARK. IF A PLAYER OR MANAGER IS CAUGHT THEY WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY SUSPENDED FOR THE REMANIDER OF THE YEAR.
  11. Each team may pick up one player, per game, to go from 8 to 9 but not 9 to 10. 9 to 10 is only permitted in regards to picking up the 5th woman to complete the lineup. No game can begin with more men than women.
  12. Men are to ONLY use wooden bats, provided by the league or their own and women may use double walled bats. Use of illegal equipment is prohibited. First offense – warning, second offense – ejection, third offense – suspension.
  13. Softballs – Must be .47 cor and 375 compression or below. Men are to use a 12’ ball and women an 11’ ball.
  14. No man can slide into a woman. This also applies when a player is returning to a base. If it happens it will be an automatic out.
  15. Walk rule – If a male is walked without receiving a strike, the following female has the option to walk or take her at bat.
  16. There will be one pinch runner per inning. The switch must be a man for a man or a woman for a woman.
