The City of Sevierville, TN is now accepting applications and /or resumes for the Convention Center Sales Coordinator position. Job duties of this position include but are not limited to the solicitation and coordinating of events of various types at the Sevierville Convention Center. Requirements for this position are: ability and desire to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays depending upon travel and event schedules, and proficient computer skills related to account management systems, Word, Outlook and other Microsoft programs.  Must have an education, experience or training equivalent to graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations or related field.  Requires a minimum of five years in a related field or similar facility.  A combination of education, training or experience may be substituted for minimum experience.

Golf Course Service Staff and Bar Staff

Recruitment And Employment Qualifications

Applications for employment may be acquired at Sevierville City Hall.  Position applying for must be specified on the application and/or resume. If you are applying for more than one position, you must submit an application and/or resume for each specific job. Applications will be kept active for six months.

Every prospective employee, as part of the conditional offer of employment, shall undergo a criminal background check and a driving record background check, conducted by the City of Sevierville Police Department. Each person shall also be given a medical/physical examination by a licensed physician, which will include a drug/alcohol screening and a muscular-skeletal screening. Other examinations and screenings may be required depending upon the job for which you are applying. The cost of these examinations will be borne by the City.

Insurance, Retirement, And Benefits

The City of Sevierville offers a benefits package to their full time employees. These benefits include paid medical and dental insurance, life insurance, short-term disability, and paid holidays. Upon hiring, city employees are automatically enrolled in the TN Consolidated Retirement System, which contributes 5% of an employee’s pre-tax dollars from each pay period into a retirement fund. Vacation leave is earned at a rate based on length of service. Sick leave is earned at 1 day per month.
